Mia: The challenge of Heuliez for its future

Good news: Heuliez is back. The SME Deux-Sevres, whose future is still uncertain due to the waltz of buyers (BKC, Brightwell ...), wished deliver a positive message from exhibiting at Geneva and presenting both a new visual identity and a new product. Exit the Friendly (also called the "Sego Car," because she had participated in the tender Segolene Royal to develop an electric car to 5000 €), and hello Mia. It is a small compact car and fun to the city, with a range of 100 km and can run up to 110 km / h. And attention is "Mia by Heuliez.

Since summer 2009, a team of enthusiasts teamed up to bring him Heuliez that breath new that "Heuliez by Mia" is the flagship. The company has also hired two big names in style and design: Murat Günak, former design director of Volkswagen (past and also by Mercedes and Peugeot) and Mindset president since 2008, and David Wilkie, a former design director Bertone. A fresh air needed by Heuliez for a successful leap to electric.

The most interesting is that this is not just another concept that will come about in two or three years (as is the case in the lounges and most major brands). By logging onto the site by Mia Heuliez (http://www.heuliez-mia.com/), it is possible to order the car. Note Heuliez had already done that for Friendly, originally expected for 2012. Here, the SME promises deliveries from October 2010. Mia is sold € 12,930 inclusive, taking into account the environmental bonus * 5000 € with a battery pack in France. With a consumption of 0.01 € / km, maintenance costs and insurance well below that of traditional cars, the small Heuliez is the first affordable electric car to buy. Hopefully it will work.
